Morocco: Morocco, the host country of the African nations football competition, secured a spot in the final of AFCON 2025 after defeating Nigeria 4-2 in a thrilling match on Wednesday. According to Angola Press News Agency, the victory was decided through a penalty shootout where Moroccan players El Aynaoui, Ben Seghir, Hakimi, and En Nesyri successfully scored. For Nigeria, Onuachu and Dele-Bashiru managed to find the back of the net, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. With this result, Morocco is set to face Senegal in the final on Sunday, the 18th. Meanwhile, Nigeria will compete against Egypt on Saturday, the 17th, to determine the third-place team of AFCON 2025. The current holder of the trophy is Cote d'Ivoire.
