Luanda: The ruling MPLA launched, on Tuesday, a cycle of national conferences aimed at the political and ideological strengthening of the party's militant base. The initiative comes to salute the party's 9th Ordinary Congress, scheduled for December of the current year, and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the MPLA, to be marked on the 10th of the same month.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Secretary of the MPLA Political Bureau for Cadre Policy, ngela Bragan§a, stated that this is about the valorization and preparation of cadres, in a context where challenges demand skills and an understanding of society's dynamics. The initiative seeks to equip cadres with knowledge and tools that reinforce their political intervention, leadership capacity, and connection to society.
The official expressed hope that the cycle will be a space for learning and constructive debate, contributing to the training of cadres who are politically conscious, ideologically firm, and tactically committed to serving citizens. The MPLA leader emphasized that the action will be extended to all provinces, municipalities, social organizations, and grassroots structures of the party.
"This cycle also represents an opportunity to renew knowledge, strengthen convictions, and reaffirm commitment to the party," she underlined. The ceremony, led by MPLA Vice-President Mara Quiosa, was attended by the Angola First Lady and Political Bureau member Ana Dias Louren§o, the party's Secretary General, Paulo Pombolo, OMA Secretary General, Emlia Carlota Dias, and JMPLA 1st Secretary Justino Capapinha.
