Luanda: Ado de Almeida, the Speaker of the National Assembly, assumed his role as a member of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) during the 58th plenary assembly session of the regional organization.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the event's third day featured presentations of national reports focusing on the implementation level of past normative decisions and resolutions. The session also evaluated draft resolutions, resulting in the adoption of the Executive Committee's reports, which addressed financial, regulatory, and administrative matters.
The SADC Parliamentary Forum is being conducted under the theme "The Impact of Climate Change in the SADC Region and the Role of Parliaments in Mitigation and Adaptation." The Angolan delegation is led by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ado de Almeida, and includes members of parliament such as Pedro Sebastio, Lusa Pedro, Francisco Damio Santos, Ruth Mendes, Teresa Jos©, Adelino da Silva Neto, and L¡zaro Kakunha.
