Mr Ismail Horoya, the National Democratic Congress Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator, says the party is targeting 25 Parliamentary seats ahead of the December elections. He advised the public to disregard the information in the media space that the Caucus had targeted 23 Parliamentary seats rather than 25. Mr Horoya said this in a press statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra. 'We wish to emphasise that all committee members going around should get themselves properly educated and adequately informed to avoid sending confusing messages to the electorates,' he said. He said the December poll was crucial and that all personal and selfish interests must be eschewed for the larger unity and interest of the NDC party. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr Horoya said all Zongo Caucus campaign programmes were under the auspices of the Regional Zongo Caucus led by him. 'The National Zongo Caucus works through the regional office, and as far as the region is concerned, we collaborate with the National Zongo Caucus, and it is not for any individual to claim he or she is the organiser, sponsor, or lead for any campaign project in Accra.
