Negage Orthopedic Centre Assists Over 2000 Patients


Huambo: At least 2009 patients were treated at the Negage Orthopaedic and Physical Rehabilitation Centre, in U­ge province, during the first quarter of 2025, surpassing the 1,500 of the same period last year.



According to Angola Press News Agency, the information was disclosed Tuesday by the director of the Negage Orthopaedic and Physical Rehabilitation Centre, Amaral Justino Domingos, during the celebration of the hospital’s 29th anniversary.



Amaral Domingos stated that during 2024, the institution treated 9,547 patients, the same figure as the previous period of 2023. The centre assists 60 to 70 patients a day, offering services in child and adult physiotherapy, neuro-muscular treatment, and the production of prostheses.



The director highlighted the installation of a swimming pool to aid in patient rehabilitation, as well as the addition of an X-ray machine.
