Mo§smedes: More than 50 women, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and artisans, are participating in the second edition of the Municipal Fruit Fair, which began on Tuesday in the province of Namibe. This initiative aims to stimulate local production, recognize the value of women's work, and boost the family economy.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the event runs until Friday and is promoted by the management of the Mo§Smedes Municipal Market in partnership with women's associations. It aims to encourage local agricultural production, reduce dependence on imported products, and strengthen female entrepreneurship in the province.
Carlos Zangado, the manager of the Mo§Smedes Municipal Market and coordinator of the exhibition, told the press that the fair provides a space for sharing knowledge and experiences about the cultivation, conservation, and marketing of agricultural products.
The exhibitors' stands display various fruits, including bananas, watermelons, oranges, avocados, mangoes, pineapples, papayas, pears, and apples. These products demonstrate the diversity and potential of local agricultural production.
