President João Lourenço Visits Agostinho Neto International Airport.


Luanda: President João Lourenço arrived at the António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN) after traveling by train for an hour along the 52-kilometer railway connecting Bungo station in central Luanda to the airport located in Icolo and Bengo.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the new airport will begin the gradual transfer of commercial passenger flight operations on the Luanda-Cabinda route starting this Sunday, November 10th. TAAG – Linhas Aéreas de Angola (Angola Airways) will operate four return flights to Cabinda on this date, scheduled between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm, utilizing Dash 8-400 aircraft.

Throughout December, TAAG will expand its operations from AIAAN to include flights on routes to the eastern regions of Dundo, Saurimo, and Luena, as well as to Soyo. The complete transfer of all remaining domestic and international connections is expected to be finalized progressively by the first quarter of 2025.
