Luanda: President Joo Louren§o appointed Commissioner Firmino Uyamba on Thursday as Delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and Provincial Commander of the National Police of Angola in Lunda Norte province.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the appointment was part of a Presidential Decree made public by the Press Office of the Presidency of the Republic. This decision marks a change in leadership within the police force in the eastern province of Lunda Norte.
In a related development, another Presidential Decree led to the dismissal of Commissioner Gerson Vieira Miguel from his position as Delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and Provincial Commander of the National Police in Lunda Norte. Gerson Vieira Miguel had been serving in this role since his appointment in November 2022.
