President Joo Louren§o Celebrates Children’s Month with Over 300 African Children in Luanda

Luanda: President Joo Louren§o and the First Lady, Ana Dias Louren§o, participated in a festive gathering with over 300 children from various African countries on Saturday in the Sambizanga municipality, Luanda. The event was part of the 'Roda do Amor' project, aligning with the Children's Month celebrations.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the initiative included a musical show featuring children from the 'Espa§o Aplausos - Mais Cultura, Mais Cidadania' program in Sequele, alongside students from Sambizanga schools, including special education institutions. The cultural entertainment highlighted a fusion of classical music and traditional African rhythms, performed by the Camunga Orchestra, showcasing a unique sound experience representative of the continent.

The event featured performances by choral groups 'Umbi Umbi,' 'M¡xima,' and 'Filhas de frica,' as well as the dance group 'Vindjombinhas.' Attendees also enjoyed a parade of traditional African costumes and an artistic performance symbolizing continental unity. As president of the African Union, Joo Louren§o, along with Ana Dias Louren§o, visited stands representing the 54 African countries.

This symbolic occasion underscored the Head of State's commitment to valuing childhood and promoting African culture as tools for inclusion and citizenship.
