Luanda: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o on Wednesday congratulated To Lam on his election as President of Vietnam, which recently took place in the parliament of that Asian country. In a message released by the Press Services of the Presidency of the Republic, the Angolan Head of State expresses, on behalf of the Government and himself, wishes for success in the exercise of his new functions.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Joo Louren§o expressed confidence that, under To Lam's leadership, Vietnam will continue to register significant progress in its development process. The progress achieved by that Asian country is recognized and appreciated by Angola and the international community.
The Angolan statesman highlights the historical ties of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries and advocated for the strengthening of these relations as a determining factor for improving the living conditions of their respective peoples. In his message, President Joo Louren§o reiterated Angola's willingness to continue working with Vietnam to deepen bilateral cooperation, based on recent high-level contacts.
The Angolan Head of State also extended his wishes for good health, personal well-being, and success in the performance of the duties for which the President-elect was chosen.
