Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o expressed his deepest condolences on Friday to the family, friends, and colleagues of the politician Manuel Augusto, who passed away today in Luanda.
According to Angola Press News Agency, a note from the Presidential Support Services indicated that the Head of State learned with the deepest sorrow of the passing of Manuel Domingos Augusto, a prominent figure in national political life, diplomacy, and journalism.
The statement further noted that "Angola has lost a son who dedicated the best of his time and life to defending the superior interests of the People, having held relevant positions in the State apparatus, notably in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
The document also highlighted that Manuel Augusto "prematurely leaves us a figure suited for the highest and most refined performance in the fulfillment of duty, who still had much to give as a public servant, statesman, and staunch patriot."
To his family, friends, and colleagues, President Louren§o expressed his deepest condolences, hoping that they will overcome this difficult moment with courage.
