Luanda: President Joo Lourenço sent a message of confidence and encouragement on Tuesday to participants of the 41st edition of the Angola International Fair (FILDA) 2026, currently taking place at the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) in Icolo e Bengo province. The message was conveyed by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, at the opening of the fair, which features 2,348 national and international exhibitors. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Head of the Executive Branch recognizes FILDA as one of the most important showcases of the Angolan private sector's vitality and the country's growing capacity to establish itself as an economy that is more diversified, more competitive, and increasingly integrated into the region and the world. He noted that, over more than four decades, FILDA has established itself as the primary meeting point for national and international companies, reflecting the evolution of the Angolan economy and growing investor confidence in the opportu nities Angola offers. Running until the 26th of this month under the theme "Produce and Innovate Locally, Win Globally," the event is increasingly asserting itself as a venue for promoting domestic production, innovation, business internationalization, and investment attraction for Angola. The number of exhibitors has increased significantly compared to the previous edition, with 22 countries participating, notably China, which has a dedicated pavilion. The event also includes participation from countries such as Portugal, Turkey, Italy, Ghana, and Brazil, among others, all viewing the fair as a source of business opportunities and commercial partnerships. FILDA serves as the main platform for showcasing the country's productive, business, and institutional capabilities, bringing together national and foreign companies, public bodies, investors, development partners, and representatives from a wide range of economic sectors.
