President Kais Saied meets Prime Minister

President Kais Saied met with Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani at Carthage Palace on Monday.

The president was briefed on the progress of the government’s work during the past period, according to a statement from the presidency.

The meeting also addressed the process of launching the implementation of Decree No. 591 of September 21, 2023 on the comprehensive audit of recruitment and integration processes in the civil service, state bodies and institutions, state-owned companies, public companies and other public structures made between January 14, 2011 and July 25, 2021.

The President of the Republic instructed the Prime Minister to convey his cordial greetings to Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of his visit to Algeria within the framework of the Tunisia-Algeria Joint High Commission.

The Head of State stressed the need for this bilateral event to be a new opportunity to highlight the strength of Tunisian-Algerian relations and the unity of their common destiny and future.

The meeting also discussed the preparation of the draft budget and finance law for 2024, with the President stressing that the State will not abandon its social role.

On another level, the President of the Republic urged harmony in the work of the government and stressed the need for all those in positions of responsibility to adhere to the policies set by the Head of State, as laid down in the Constitution of July 25, 2022.
