Primary Schools In Kangema Receive A Major Facelift

In a bid to ensure pupils learn in a habitable and good environment, Kangema Member of Parliament Peter Kihungi through the NG-CDF is in the process of improving the infrastructure in over twenty primary schools in the constituency.

The schools which have been in a deplorable state are receiving a major facelift and renovations and will be ready for occupancy when schools open for the third term.

‘The previous standards of the primary schools were wanting and we started with Karuri and Kangema primary schools which were the worst hit before carrying on with the rest as we do not want to interfere with the school calendar,’ observed the M.P

‘Our aim is to ensure the pupils have a comfortable learning environment which will help them register even better performance going forward,’ he added

The construction and renovation works will also involve making walkways to prevent the pupils from walking in mud and learning in muddy classrooms during the rainy season as well as replacing the leaking roofs.

The local community surrounding the schools is not only thrilled at the opportunity to put food on the table for their families but are also excited that their children will enjoy a good environment for learning and be able to post better results for an even bright future.
