Serbia Awards President Joo Louren§o with Order of the Republic

Belgrade: The President of the Republic, Joo Louren§o, is set to be awarded the Order of the Republic of Serbia by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during his official visit to the country.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T©te Ant³nio, informed the press in Belgrade that as a gesture of reciprocity, President Joo Louren§o will also award President Vucic. The honour symbolizes recognition of efforts made towards enhancing peaceful cooperation, fostering friendly relations, and strengthening political, diplomatic, and economic ties between Serbia and Angola.

The visit will also feature President Joo Louren§o's visit to a monument dedicated to Angola's first President, Ant³nio Agostinho Neto. T©te Ant³nio highlighted that Serbia maintains the memory of the Founder of the Angolan Nation, acknowledging the historic friendship between Agostinho Neto and former Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito.

T©te Ant³nio further noted that the historical connections between Angola and Serbia offer a significant basis for expanding bilateral cooperation across political, diplomatic, and economic domains, aligning with the current development trajectories of both nations.
