SIC destroys cannabis cultivation field

The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in Lunda-Norte, destroyed today, Wednesday, a two-hectare cannabis cultivation field, known as Liamba, in the municipality of Xá-muteba. According to the SIC spokesperson in Lunda-Norte, Graciano Lumanhe, the action is the result of a micro-operation carried out by agents of this body, in that municipality, which is more than 500 kilometres from the city of Dundo. He announced that more than 20 thousand cannabis plants were seized, adding that the operation took place on the banks of the Tunga and Candungo rivers. He highlighted that the alleged owners of the field fled after noticing the presence of SIC agents. He assured that investigative sequences are underway, aiming to locate and arrest the alleged owners. Source: Angola Press News Agency
