Nabasga: On the occasion of his customary festival, Nabasga, His Majesty Naaba Sanem, Dima of Ouargaye, addressed his blessings to the Constituted Bodies of the Koulpelogo province and implored the Manes of the Ancestors for the return of peace and security throughout Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Nabasga celebration, a highlight of Ouargaye’s tradition, began in the morning with ritual sacrifices of oxen, sheep, and chickens on the graves of ancestors. It continued in the evening with an official visit by His Majesty to the palace’s large hangar.
This event was an opportunity to implore predecessors to support the fighting forces and facilitate the return of peace and security to the Land of Upright Men. The provincial bodies travelled to greet the customary authority, receive its blessings, and listen to its advice.
In his address, His Majesty Naaba Sanem expressed his satisfaction with the resilience of the decentralized services, praising their commitment to serving the population. He encouraged continued efforts for collective well-being.
