Yokohama: The minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Mass Media, M¡rio Oliveira, met on Thursday in Yokohama with the Japanese minister of Internal Affairs and Communication, Seiichiro Murakami, on the sidelines of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting served to strengthen cooperation between Angola and Japan in the telecoms sector, focusing on sharing strategies for improving technological infrastructure and ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth.
On the occasion, the Angolan official highlighted the need for greater collaboration in the field of satellite systems, the launch of digital terrestrial television, and the possibility of manufacturing equipment for the public operator Angola Telecom.
Angola and Japan are developing cooperative relations in various sectors, with telecommunications and ITs identified as strategic areas for economic diversification and digital innovation.
