A cultural cooperation agreement between Tunisia and Venezuela for the 2024-2026 period was signed on Friday in Tunis, by Cultural Affairs Minister Hayet Ketat Guermazi and Deputy Minister for Africa of the People’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Yuri Pimentel Moura, in the presence of Venezuela’s ambassador to Tunisia Carlos Feo Acevedo.
Guermazi pointed out Tunisia’s willingness to activate bilateral cultural cooperation through the implementation of a number of joint pilot projects.
Moura reviewed the joint projects that will be implemented in coordination between the Ministries of Culture in Tunisia and Venezuela.
The agreement aims to cement cooperation relations between the two countries in the cultural field and to further the prospects for cooperation in a variety of sectors, notably cinema, plastic arts, books, translation and heritage.
The agreement also provides for the organisation of artistic and cultural events and the sharing of scientific and creative expertise.
