Luanda: Two people died and three were seriously injured as a result of a collision between two vehicles on Wednesday night on the Pºri/Negage stretch of road in Uige province. The crash involved two Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles and a Corolla, which was destroyed.
According to Angola Press News Agency, after the incident, the victims were taken to the Negage Municipal Hospital, but two of them died hours later. The other occupants of the vehicle are under medical care at the same health unit. All the five occupants traveling in the Toyota Corolla were from the municipality of Cangola, where they worked.
The circumstances of the accident that killed the two young people are still unclear, but excessive speed is initially pointed to as the main cause of the incident. With this tragic accident, the number of deaths from road accidents in Uge province since January of this year has risen to 120.
