Uíge: An out-of-control vehicle destroyed two commercial establishments in the city of Uíge on Tuesday night, after crashing and colliding with the infrastructure, ANGOP reported. According to Angola Press News Agency, the incident occurred around 9 PM on Rua M, on the outskirts of Uíge city, when the vehicle, a Land Cruiser, crashed and ended up destroying a pharmacy and a beauty salon. Witnesses indicated that excessive speed was the main cause of the incident, which resulted in no fatalities or injuries, only material damage. The case is under the jurisdiction of the local police, who are continuing their investigations to determine the real factors behind the incident and hold those involved accountable. Accidents involving out-of-control vehicles in Angola have resulted in fatalities and injuries, frequently caused by high speed, mechanical failures (brakes), or loss of control in busy urban areas.
