Vice-Governor Highlights Modernization of Angola’s Airport Infrastructures

Luanda: The government continues to work to create a more competitive business environment, simplifying processes and investing in the modernization of the country's airport infrastructure, highlighted the Vice-Governor of Luanda province for the economic sector, Jorge Miguêns Augusto, this Wednesday. Speaking at the second edition of the West Wings Angola Gala Dinner, he stressed that the country's economic sector is undergoing a complete transformation, aiming for greater macroeconomic stability. According to Angola Press News Agency, the official considers the establishment of partnerships fundamental because synergies between national capital and international expertise are the model the government seeks, encouraging potential operators. "Only with strong alliances can we witness a reduction in logistical costs for producers and exporters, increase the competitiveness of our products abroad, generate qualified employment for young people and attract more foreign direct investment", he said. In turn, the Turkish ambassador to Angola, Muhammet Mustafa Çelik, hopes for closer cooperation between Turkish Airlines and TAAG to strengthen air links between Angola and Turkey. He added that the aim is to create opportunities to transport people and goods from both countries. The second edition of the West Wings Angola Gala Dinner is a prestigious event that brought together authorities and personalities from the business, industrial, and social sectors. The event, focused on celebration, networking, and recognition, aims to strengthen partnerships, reinforcing the organization's commitment to innovation and sustainable development. West Wings is the representative of the Turkish carrier "Turkish Air Cargo," which operates cargo flights in Angola.
