Cabinda: The provinces of Zaire, Huambo, and Namibe are set to establish logistics platforms in the initial half of this year, as announced by Catarino Fontes Pereira, CEO of the Angolan Cargo and Logistics Certification Regulatory Agency (ARCCLA). Pereira made the announcement following a visit to Cabinda, where he inaugurated ARCCLA's new northern regional headquarters.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Pereira revealed that the logistics platforms will be constructed in the municipalities of Luvo in Zaire, Ca¡la in Huambo, and in Namibe. The agency is working with partners who have provided promising proposals for the development of these facilities at the Yema and Massabi border posts in Cabinda.
The CEO also noted the challenges faced in 2025, which involved aligning the logistics sector more closely with ARCCLA through legal regulations. These regulations have approved several legislative measures, aiding in the improvement of the regulatory and transitional processes for logistics and freight operator systems.
