2022 Elections: CNE holds candidate positioning draw

Luanda – The draw for the positioning of the candidacies of the political parties and coalition on the ballot paper for the general elections of 24 August is due to be held Wednesday at the facilities of the National Electoral Commission (CNE) in Luanda.

The CNE spokesperson, Lucas Quilundo, made this known at the end of the 11th extraordinary meeting of the CNE plenary.

Mr. Quilundo said that during the meeting, the commissioners had been briefed on the issue of the Constitutional Court’s delivery of the definitive lists of candidates for the general elections.

He added that, as required by law, after receiving these lists, the CNE has 48 hours to hold a draw.

He also said that the draw will be held to define the use of airtime on radio and television and the definition of the broadcast grid.
