Angolan president reappoints ENDIAMA’s CEO

Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço reappointed Friday José Manuel Ganga Júnior to the position of the CEO of the National Diamond company (ENDIAMA – E.P.), ANGOP has learnt

Through the Presidential Order, João Lourenço also named Laureano Receado Paulo, Ana Maria Feijó Bartolomeu and Teófilo Assunção Rodrigues Chifunga and Domingos Mateus dos Santos Neves Margarida to the post of executive director.

For non-executive directors, the head of State appointed Santana André Pitra and Ngola Kabangu.

Prior to the appointment, in another Dispatch, the holder of the Executive Power ended the mandate of José Manuel Ganga Júnior, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENDIAMA – EP, a position to which he had been appointed in November 2017.

Founded on January 15, 1981, ENDIAMA – E.P. is a public company dedicated to the prospecting, exploration and trading of diamonds.

It operates in the national territory as operator and exclusive concessionaire in the management of the value chain of the diamond sub-sector.

Appointments in SODIAM

On the other hand, João Lourenço appointed Eugénio Pereira Bravo chairman of the Board of Directors of the Diamond Trading Company (SODIAM), E.P.

The President also appointed Fernando Teixeira da Fonseca Amaral and José das Neves Gonçalves Silva managers of the Board of Directors of the company.

With these appointments, the document adds, the President empowered the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas to swear in the aforementioned entities.

The Angolan National Diamond Trade Company (SODIAM – EP) is a state-owned company in charge of supervising the purchase, sale and export/import of diamonds in Angola.
