Afrobasket 2025: Angola Set to Face Guinea-Conakry in Group C Showdown

Luanda: Angola return to play on Thursday in MoçSmedes, Namibe Province, for the second round of Group C of the 31st African Nations Basketball Championship for the men's "Afrobasket 2025". The game, which takes place at 7:00 pm at the Welwitschia Mirabilis pavilion, is preceded by Libya's match against South Sudan, also in Group C. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Welwitschia Mirabilis pavilion, with a capacity of 3,500 seats, will be completely full, since tickets sold out since last Sunday in the city of MoçSmedes. Baptista Matuca, director of the Youth and Sports Office, noted that residents of the province and sports caravans from the neighbouring provinces of Huíla, Cunene, and Benguela are mobilized to support the Angolan national team. Here is the schedule for the second round games: In Luanda, the games between Uganda and Mali will be at 2:30 pm and Egypt will play Senegal at 5:30 pm, while in Namibe Province, Libya face South Sudan at 4 pm and Angola face Guinea at 7 pm.
