Mo§smedes: The DR Congo basketball team suffered a defeat against C´t© d'Ivoire with a score of 75 to 63 in the third round of Group A at the African Championship (Afrobasket2025) held at the Welwitschia Mirabilis pavilion in Namibe.
According to Angola Press News Agency, by halftime, the Congolese team was trailing by eight points, 30 to 38, due to the Ivorian team's effective execution of short-range shots, capitalizing on the repeated errors of their opponents. In the previous round, DR Congo had secured a victory over Rwanda with a score of 65-58, while C´t© d'Ivoire narrowly defeated Cape Verde 82-81.
Additionally, on the same day, Cape Verde's team redeemed their earlier loss by defeating Rwanda 75-62, maintaining a halftime lead of 37-29. On Saturday, Angola emerged victorious against South Sudan with a close 66-64 win, finishing Group C undefeated with three wins. Simultaneously, Guinea triumphed over Libya 83-55, having established a 43-28 lead by halftime.
