Agriculture to Include Artificial Intelligence in Projects

Luanda: Current local agricultural projects aimed at diversifying the economy will incorporate artificial intelligence and innovative drone technology to promote the expected development of the sector and the country. The spokesperson of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CIIA), Euclides Agapito, defended this position on Thursday in Luanda.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Agapito stated that the goal is to transform agriculture into a key industry and that urgent solutions are needed in agriculture, health, education, and financial inclusion. He emphasized that the conference is not just about Angola learning artificial intelligence tools, but about Africa co-creating global standards and rules of an ecosystem that serves the continent.

Agapito expressed his desire for Africa, and Angola in particular, to build local capacity to reduce dependence on external sources. He envisions the region being able to innovate independently, developing an active digital population, and supplying the world with mineral resources without the need for imported technology.

The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence brought together global speakers both in person and remotely. This annual event focuses on discussing and promoting the most advanced trends, applications, and challenges of artificial intelligence in national and international contexts.
