AIPEX Registers 877 Investment Intentions in Seven Years, Aiming to Create 92,000 Jobs

Luanda: Since its creation in 2018, the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) has registered 877 investment intentions in the country, which are expected to generate 92,000 direct jobs for national citizens. According to Angola Press News Agency, the information was made official on Tuesday by AIPEX's executive director, Cláudia Pedro, during the 19th Edition of Café CIPRA, held under the theme 'Angola at the Center of African Diplomacy'. She revealed that 32,000 of the anticipated jobs have already been created. In her address, Pedro emphasized AIPEX's commitment to attracting investments in key sectors such as agriculture, industry, logistics, and energy transportation, which have a high capacity to absorb workforce. She underlined the agency's focus on promoting Angola as a primary destination for productive investment in Africa to positively impact the national economy. Cláudia Pedro also highlighted AIPEX's ongoing efforts to fortify economic ties with African countries, aiming to inc rease African investments in Angola and facilitate the internationalization of Angolan companies across the continent. She noted that strengthening trade relations should prioritize investment in modern infrastructure and industrialization to transform resources internally, thus generating employment and income. Café CIPRA, organized at the Press Center of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola (CIPRA), serves as a platform for direct and open dialogue between government officials and civil society. The 19th edition was facilitated, in addition to the AIPEX administrator, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns de Oliveira.
