Geneva: Nationals residing in Switzerland, Canada, Angola, and France have celebrated the 34th Independence Day anniversary with patriotic zeal under the theme Our Cohesion - Our Armour. The celebratory event in Geneva, Switzerland, was attended by over 4,600 nationals, members of the diplomatic community, and friends of Eritrea.
According to African Press Organization, Mr. Habtom Zeray, Charg© d'Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy and Permanent Representative of Eritrea to the UN Offices and other International Organizations, addressed the attendees in Geneva. He congratulated the people and Government of Eritrea and its Defense Forces, emphasizing that Independence Day is not only a celebration but also an opportunity to review the progress made in fulfilling the mission's objectives.
In Angola, nationals marked the 34th Independence Day anniversary with patriotic fervor. The celebrations included sports and cultural programs organized by students from the Eritrean Community School, showcasing the community's engagement and unity.
In France, nationals in cities such as Rennes, Angers, Toulon, and Dijon participated in the Independence Day festivities with enthusiasm. The events featured a variety of programs, reflecting the spirit of cohesion and pride among the Eritrean diaspora.
