Ambassador at Costa Rican president-elect inauguration

Luanda – The Angolan ambassador to Cuba, Maria Cândida Teixeira, witnessed, in San José, the investiture of the President-elect of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Robles, representing the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço.

The information is expressed in a press release issued Friday by the Angolan Embassy in Cuba.

The document stresses that at the ceremony, held Sunday at the headquarters of the Legislative Assembly, Rodrigo Robles received from the president of the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Arias, the credentials of President of the Republic, as well as his oath.

Officially sworn in as the 49th President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Robles was elected for a four-year term (2022-2026).

In an event held on the sidelines of the act, ambassador Cândida Teixeira, bearer of a message of congratulations from President João Lourenço to his Costa Rican counterpart, held a meeting with outgoing Foreign Minister Rodolfo Solano Quirós.
