Ambassador highlights importance of Angola’s economic diplomacy

Luanda – Angola’s ambassador to Brazil, Florêncio de Almeida, has highlighted Angola’ s economic diplomacy as one of the main pillars for the success of the government ‘s strategy outside the country.

Florêncio de Almeida made the remark at the yearend greetings ceremony held Friday at the Angolan Embassy in Brazil, in Brasilia.

According to the diplomat, the time has come to talk less and work more, creating a “new era on the external front” that will bring new opportunities with it that will help the government to promote the well-being of Angolans.

Florêncio de Almeida appealed to the Angolan community in Brazil to be guided by the spirit of communion, serenity, hope and healthy coexistence, “to overcome the challenges of the present and build a better tomorrow”.

The republics of Angola and Brazil established political and diplomatic relations in November 1975, a day after the proclamation of independence of the Angolans, having signed in June 1980 in Luanda, the Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement, a legal instrument that defines the legal framework for their cooperation.
