Luanda – Angola and Mozambique agreed to strengthen parliamentary communication strategies and on financial, administrative and asset management at the level of the two parliaments.
The information was provided by Mozambican deputy Alsarcia Chochoma Sartinha, who is part of a delegation of parliamentarians from her country that Tuesday visited the headquarters of the National Assembly.
The Mozambican delegation met with the Board of Directors of the National Assembly, and agreed to strengthen parliamentary communication strategies, financial, administrative and asset management, at the level of both parliaments.
The Mozambican deputy said that, with this contact, the delegation is also learning from Angolan experience to build a modern National Assembly palace, such as the one that “makes all Angolans proud,” because Mozambique plans to build a similar one in Maputo.
“We have a project to build a parliamentary citadel to accommodate the deputies with dignity. The land already exists, in the city of Maputo. We came to gather Angolan experience, especially in the mobilisation of resources,” she said.
The Mozambican delegation, which has been in Angola since last Saturday, is headed by the first vice president and chairman of the Board of the Mozambican Parliament, Hélder Ernesto Injojojo.
