Angola at CAR Roadmap Meeting for Peace and Security

Luanda – Minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António left Saturday for Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR), to participate in the Monitoring Meeting on the Implementation of the Luanda Roadmap for Peace and Security in CAR.

Téte António’s participation in this event is part of the mandate given at the third International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) Mini Summit dedicated to Peace and Security in CAR, held in Luanda on September 16, 2021.

The diplomatic entities are responsible for working together, when necessary, with the authorities of CAR, as well as the ICGLR Secretariat and the ECCAS Commission in the various aspects related to the successful execution of the Joint Roadmap for Peace in CAR, in particular the creation of favorable conditions for the implementation of the Disarmament, Demobilisation, Reintegration and Repatriation (DDRR) process.

The event will also gather international partners, such as the United Nations Integrated Multidimensional Mission for the Stabilisation of the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU), among others.
