Angola Establishes Partnerships with India for Agricultural Mechanization Training

Mumbai: Teresa Dias, the Angolan Minister of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security, is on a four-day working visit to India to establish partnerships aimed at implementing a technical course in agricultural mechanization in Angola this year.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the ongoing work is taking place in the Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Nagpur provinces. The Angolan delegation has already engaged with Campotec Lda management and Mahindra company's general management, the latter being a global leader in the production and sale of agricultural tractors.

The primary goal is to secure the implementation of technical courses in agricultural mechanization under the National Vocational Training System through INEFOP, as detailed in a press release. The initial phase of the training is set to commence at the Huambo Integrated Technological Training Centre (CINFOTEC) and will extend to other provinces across Angola.

The groundwork for expanding the agricultural mechanization course in Angola has been laid, with Angolan trainers having already completed training in India with Mahindra. Minister Teresa Dias emphasized that this milestone is crucial for ensuring national labor and developing mechanisms to train farmers in rural areas through mobile training units.
