Angola, recognized as a dominant force in African basketball, enters the match as favorites, having secured victories in all four previous encounters with Uganda. According to Angola Press News Agency, Angola stands second in the group with five points and is determined to achieve a second win against Uganda in this qualifying campaign. Their previous encounter in this tournament resulted in a decisive 90-68 victory for Angola. A win in this match would not only bolster Angola's standing but also ensure their progression to the next qualifying stage. Conversely, Uganda, which is currently at the bottom of the group with three points from three games, is eager to secure their first win to maintain hopes of advancing to the World Cup in Qatar. This match marks the f ifth clash between Angola and Uganda, a rivalry that began in 2017. After this confrontation, Angola will face Egypt, who ranks third with four points, and Mali, the group leader with six points. These upcoming matches are anticipated to present a higher level of competition for Angola.
