Luanda: A platform to identify and map families in vulnerable situations and strengthen socioeconomic policies, called "Single Social Registry (CSU)", was launched on Monday in Luanda by the Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women's Promotion (MASFAMU).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the launch of the initiative, which was attended by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Louren§o, and the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jos© de Lima Massano, aims to strengthen the State's capacity to improve the coordination and evaluation of public policies based on reliable and integrated information.
The Single Social Registry (CSU) will function as a centralized database to manage and direct social support, programs, and projects, as well as to promote social inclusion. The platform will gather, organize, and integrate relevant social information about families in vulnerable situations, allowing the State to have a more complete, up-to-date, and integrated view of the country's social reality.
Properly trained teams will carry out the registration of families, using digital tools designed to work in different contexts, with or without a permanent internet connection. During registration, information will be collected on socioeconomic conditions, education, health, housing, and other fundamental dimensions for social protection, through validation mechanisms, georeferencing, biometrics, facial recognition, and document validation. After validation, each national citizen will be associated with a unique record in the CSU.
According to MASFAMU, the CSU will serve as an instrument to make social action more accessible, efficient, and organized, and will allow for coordination between social programs, local administration, civil registries, public institutions, and sectoral databases. It states that each institution retains its competencies and responsibilities but will contribute to a common and more complete vision of the social reality of Angola.
