Angola opens market to Senegalese investors

Luanda – The doors are open for Senegalese investors to bet on the Angolan market, as part of the reciprocal advantages and strengthening of cooperation relations between the two African countries.

The invitation was made Wednesday by the Angolan head of state, João Lourenço, at the opening of official talks between delegations from Angola and Senegal, as part of the working visit by the Senegalese president to Angola.

President Lourenço noted that the Angolan market was open to investments and to the entry of Senegalese investors.

The Angolan statesman said that the opening is for investors from that West African country that want to take advantage of the opportunities that the Angolan market offers, besides the advantages provided by the country’s legal system.

In his speech, the Angolan Head of State expressed Angola’s interest in working to strengthen the relationship of cooperation and friendship with Senegal.

Regarding the signing of cooperation agreements, held Wednesday between the two states, João Lourenço said that they would facilitate the mobilization of companies in both directions.

President Lourenço noted that the agreements would promote investments that would serve as a basis for closer friendship and cooperation between Angola and Senegal.

The President of Senegal, Macky Sall, arrived on Tuesday afternoon in Luanda for a 72-hour official visit to Angola, at the invitation of his counterpart, Joao Lourenço, as part of the boost to bilateral cooperation.
