Angola rise one place in FIFA ranking

Luanda – The Angolan national football team rose one place in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) ranking, moving from 127th to 126th place, with the same points (1131.72).

In the list of the world governing body, released Thursday, Brazil is the leader, with 1832.69.

Still on the African continent, Senegal is the highest ranked country, in 20th place overall, with 1584.16 points.

Among the Portuguese-speaking countries, the Angolans are only ahead of Macau (182º/922.19) and São Tomé e Príncipe (183º/917.62), in a group also led by the Brazilians.

Angola played recently friendly matches on FIFA date, in which they beat Guinea (Bissau), 3-2, and drew with Equatorial Guinea, 0-0, in games held in Portugal.
