Angola/Serbia turnover may reach USD 5 million

Caxito – The business volume between Angola and Serbia may reach more than US$5 million this year, a 500% increase compared to the previous year when the turnover stood at USD1million.

The figures were released to the press by the Serbian ambassador to Angola Milos Perisic in Caxito, northern Bengo province, at the meeting with the provincial governor, Maria Nelumba.

The diplomat said that in the scope of the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, Serbia offered this year 19 scholarships to the provinces, including Bengo, but he did not mention the most traded products.

He underlined that the results of the cooperation between the two provinces are visible, taking into account the participation this year of the tourism department of Bengo in the tourism fair of that country.

“The Vojvodina region is the most developed in Serbia. Therefore, farmers and companies will come to Angola with the aim of partnerships for possible investments and financing in the areas of production of vegetables, maize, wheat, soy, among other cereals, “he said.

For 2023, he announced the visit of the first tourists group from Serbia to Angola, in particular to Bengo, and invited the provincial government to attend the tourism fair in the northern region of Vojvodina.

The ambassador reiterated his commitment to continue with the good relations existing between the two provinces.

The governor of Bengo, Maria Nelumba, referred to the advantages of cooperation between the two peoples, above all the possibility for Serbian businesspeople to develop tourism in the province of Bengo.
