Luanda: The equities market of the Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) witnessed a trading volume of 211,351,308.98 kwanzas on Monday, fueled by activity in Unitel shares and a rise in the value of BFA shares.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the exchange's daily report highlighted that the session concluded with 264 transactions in the equities segment, involving 5,453 securities among the six listed companies. Notably, Unitel emerged as the key driver of the session, contributing 81.5 percent of the total value traded, amounting to 172,249,326.00 kwanzas. The telecommunications giant executed 161 transactions with 4,849 shares traded, closing the day at 36,000 kwanzas per share, despite experiencing a slight decrease of 1.37 percent compared to the previous session.
In the financial sector, Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA) displayed a positive performance, being the sole stock to witness an increase, rising by 1.01 percent to 100,500 kwanzas per share, with a trading volume of 19,774,499.98 kwanzas across 31 transactions. Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) maintained a stable performance, closing unchanged at 96,100 kwanzas per share, with 5.188 million kwanzas traded in 17 transactions.
Conversely, BODIVA itself, the market management company, experienced the day's largest percentage decline, dropping 2.41 percent, with its shares closing at 81,000 kwanzas and generating 9,121,000 kwanzas in 12 transactions. Banco Geral Angola (CGA) saw a decrease of 1.75 percent to 19,650 kwanzas, with 30 transactions and 4,122,933 kwanzas traded, while insurer ENSA declined 0.71 percent to 27,800 kwanzas, with 13 transactions valued at 894,750 kwanzas.
