Cape town: Angola is participating with 13 companies in the 32nd edition of the International Conference on Mining in Africa, known as Mining Indaba, which begins this Monday in Cape Town, South Africa. This event is recognized as the largest mining showcase in the world, drawing around 6,000 delegates, including company leaders and government officials from various African countries. It serves as a strategic platform to discuss trends, innovations, and challenges facing the mining sector on the continent.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, alongside the Geological Institute of Angola, the National Agency of Mineral Resources, ENDIAMA, SODIAM, CATOCA, and other mineral companies. February 10th has been designated as 'Angola Day' at the event, featuring a mining investment business forum under the theme: 'Revealing Angola's Mineral Potential through Solid Partnerships'.
At a press conference marking Angola's participation, the delegation led by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, emphasized the importance of the event. ENDIAMA's executive administrator, Ana Feij³, highlighted this as a critical moment to bolster Angola's position in the mining sector, especially as ENDIAMA celebrates 45 years of existence.
