Angola: The Angola under-17 men's national football team arrived in the Kingdom of Morocco on Monday to participate in the 16th edition of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held from May 13 to June 2. Led by coach Mário Catala, the team is focused on securing a spot in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar. According to Angola Press News Agency, Angola is set to make its debut against Mali on May 14. Following their first match, the team will face Tanzania in the second round and conclude the group stage against Mozambique on May 20. The squad, which includes goalkeepers Gelson Dala, Adilson, and Paciência, is hopeful about their performance. The defense lineup features players such as Kalanga, Manuel, and Osvaldo Costa, while the midfield will be strengthened by Vandro, Joo, and Pedro António. The forward line will see Emanuel, Constantino, and Joel among others aiming to make a significant impact. Morocco, the current trophy holder, will host the tournament across its citie s, with the group stage divided into four groups. Angola is positioned in Group C alongside Mali, Tanzania, and Mozambique. The other groups are composed of various national teams, with Morocco, Tunisia, Ethiopia, and Egypt in Group A; Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and Côte d'Ivoire in Group B; and Algeria, Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa in Group D.
