Angola Wins Gold Medal at Expo Osaka 2025

Osaka: Angola won the gold medal in the 'Best Exterior Design' category on Monday at Expo Osaka 2025. The expo took place from April 13 to October 13 this year in Japan, the country beat out Algeria and India in a field of 165 participating countries.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Albina Assis, the general commissioner of the Angola pavilion at the Expo, said the award was the result of the dedication and commitment of a team of young people who created the conditions necessary to captivate visitors and exalt the country's name at the exhibition.

Assis stressed that setbacks did not detract from the quality of the Angola pavilion, which attracted a significant number of visitors due to its interior, fa§ade, and displays of contemporary and traditional Angolan culture.

Assis pointed out that the Angola pavilion highlighted education and health as fundamental to the sustainable development of societies, underlining that the Expo 2025 Osaka strengthened cordial relations between countries on different continents and opened a door to the world for Africa.

She noted that Angola took advantage of the occasion to promote the country's culture, history, gastronomy, tourism, investment opportunities, and sustainable development.

According to the organization, the world exhibition in Osaka, whose central theme was 'Designing Future Society for Our Lives,' exceeded expectations in terms of attendance, welcoming 28 million visitors from around the world during the 184 days of the fair.
