Rabat: The senior women's futsal team from Angola is set to make its debut against the Republic of Guinea at 2 pm on Tuesday. This match marks the kickoff of matchday 1 for group B of the African Championship, which is being held at the Moulay-Abdellah Sports Compound in Rabat, Morocco.
According to Angola Press News Agency, this 1st edition of the African competition, scheduled from the 22nd to the 30th of this month, serves as a qualifier for the World Championship. The World Championship is set to take place from November 27 to December 7 in the Philippines. Angola's national team is slated to play its second round against Egypt on Thursday, August 24, at 2:00 pm at the same venue.
In other matches of Group A, the host nation Morocco is set to face Namibia at 8:00 pm, while in Group B, Madagascar will compete against Senegal at 5:00 pm.
Coach Nandinho do Ros¡rio has selected 14 players for the competition. The team includes goalkeepers Renata Buca (Clnica Sagrada Esperan§a) and Isabel Francisco (Gal¡cticas). The fixed players are Joyce Vctor, Simba Ngoy (Army), and Emacleny Lando (Chapesseca). The wingers are Raquel Banga (SBT Futsal), Merly Camange (Pal¡cio), Isabel Vidal, Dionsia Junco (Clnica Sagrada Esperan§a), Lurdes Chitandula (4 de Junho), Ester Ant³nio (SM 3 de Agosto), Djamila Catombela (Sporting de Portugal), and Abade Pinto (Army).
