Angolan Ambassador Presents Credentials to Serbian President

Belgrade: Ambassador Eduardo Barber Leiro Oct¡vio presented his credentials to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, marking the start of his duties as head of the Angolan diplomatic mission in the Balkan country.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Serbian head of state granted the Angolan diplomat an audience after the presentation of the credentials. The two sides expressed political willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation and revitalize the historical ties of friendship and solidarity that unite Angola and Serbia.

Oct¡vio was previously Angola's ambassador to Rwanda. He holds a law degree from Agostinho Neto University and a postgraduate degree in Strategy and Security from the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the Technical University of Lisbon. He has held several high-ranking positions in the Angolan government.

Angola and Serbia have maintained diplomatic relations, as well as technical, scientific, and cultural cooperation, since April 25, 1977. Both parties intend to deepen these ties for mutual benefit.
