Angola: Angola's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ana Maria de Oliveira, met on Wednesday with the Apostolic Nuncio and Permanent Observer of the Holy See, Ettore Balestrero, to discuss issues related to human rights.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting, held at the Holy See Bureau, also provided an opportunity to analyze topics related to humanitarian aid and other current international subjects.
During the discussions, the Angolan diplomat presented an overview of Angola's situation concerning human rights, emphasizing the progress in strengthening the rule of law, consolidating democratic institutions, and promoting fundamental freedoms.
Ana Maria de Oliveira also took the occasion to present a copy of her work entitled "Angola and the Expression of Its Material Culture" to the representative of the Holy See.
Ettore Balestrero brings diplomatic experience from his missions in South Korea, Mongolia, the Netherlands, and the Democratic Republic of Congo between 2018 and 2023.
