Angolan Doctors to Participate in Rheumatology Congress in Portugal

Luanda: Angolan doctors are set to participate in the 26th Portuguese Congress of Rheumatology (CPR 2025), scheduled to take place from November 5 to 9 in Algarve, Portugal. The event is designed to explore both the current state and future prospects of rheumatology.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the congress will gather national and international specialists alongside health professionals from varied fields, associations, and institutional partners to exchange knowledge within the sector. The initiative will feature roundtables, symposia, debates, oral presentations, and posters to discuss the vitality and range of rheumatology.

Esperan§a Nicolau, president of the College of Rheumatology Specialty of the Angolan Medical Association, mentioned in an interview with ANGOP that Angola will be represented by five doctors. The event will also include moments of celebration and recognition, such as the awarding of the Reum©ritus prize to individuals who have significantly contributed to the advancement of Portuguese rheumatology.

Nicolau emphasized that the meeting will serve as a platform for scientific excellence, learning, and cooperation, in addition to being a reunion for colleagues and friends.
