The statement highlighted the promising futures that the young victims had ahead of them, underscoring the magnitude of the tragedy. In a separate statement, the Federation of Angolan Associations in Portugal (FAAP) expressed its shock and solidarity with the victims' families. "Young people full of life, dreams, and hope left us abruptly, leaving a void that is difficult to express. May their memories remain alive in the hearts of all those who knew and loved them," the statement emphasized. FAAP has pledged to monitor all local authorities' actions and offer support to the grieving families. Portuguese television channel Correio da Manh reported that the six young people perished when their vehicle crashed and caught fire, leaving no opportunity for rescue.
