Luanda: Foreign Affairs Minister T©te Ant³nio received a message on Tuesday from his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, which was delivered by Alexander Bryantsev, the Russian Charg© d'Affaires in Angola. The letter emphasized the ongoing friendship and solidarity between Angola and Russia, and it was handed over to the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Cust³dio Vieira Lopes, during a meeting in Luanda.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Russian diplomat, Bryantsev, sought Angola's support for Russia's candidacy in various United Nations organizations, including UNESCO. In response, Secretary of State Vieira Lopes reaffirmed Angola's commitment to continue its cooperation with Russia, focusing on strategic areas that promote shared development and address challenges related to peace, security, and global stability.
